TOPPS SEAL®
Liquid Applied Rubber Roof Coating
This System, using Topps Seal® as its base, is sometimes referred to as a spray or pour in place "Liquid Rubber" roof cap. The Topps Seal roof coating adheres to all shapes, curing to a tough, seamless, elastic rubber membrane that wraps the entire roof structure with a weather-repelling barrier. It stretches and moves with the roof even during extreme temperature swings - then recovers 100% with no peeling or chipping. It is the strongest product on the market with a minimum of 1500 psi.
This easily applied elastomeric rubber roof coating is made from blended and modified rubbers, pure non-yellowing titanium dioxide, and UV inhibitors ensure color stability and performance in all climates. It is available in energy-efficient reflective white for a "cool roof" as well as a variety of metallic colors.
Choose System 5000/5100 for a complete upgrade, or for maintenance with reinforcement choose System 1100. (NOTE: On felt roofs, PolyCore may be added to Topps Seal® for additional strength where needed.)
TOPPS SEAL® SYSTEMS 5000/5100/1100
FLAT ROOF UPGRADE
Topps® provides you two maintenance options for restoring your roof to like-new condition. System 5000/5100 uses the existing roof as its base and installs a lightweight polyester reinforced cap on top.
System 1100 seals and protects roofs which require less reinforcement. Only critical areas are reinforced.
After roofs are thoroughly inspected, with damaged areas replaced, known critical areas are repaired and reinforced using the Topps® roofing repair compounds. Adding our polyester PolyCore turns some of the roof's weakest areas into the strongest. The new Topps Seal® elastomeric finish preserves, protects, and extends roof life.
Preparation: The old surface is cleaned of any foreign materials that can prevent direct adhesion.
Sectional Repairs: Wet insulation (if any) is removed and the area rebuilt. Localized damages are corrected. Maintenance systems are installed with PolyCore membrane laid over critical areas needing reinforcement and all flashings. Fully reinforced systems are installed with PolyCore membrane throughout.
Surface: The Topps® elastomeric seamless weather protection gives a durable, waterproof, protective barrier.
Note: For smooth surfaced roofs with positive drainage only.
Why replace the entire roof when only 10% is seriously damaged?
Exposure to the elements exists over the entire roof, however roof leaks usually only occur at stress points. By reinforcing these areas with Topps® repair and maintenance products, those problem areas are quickly transformed into the strongest parts of the roof. Using this economical, maintenance program, we can restore virtually any roof type to its original level of weather protection - saving replacement cost!
The products are formulated to stop roof leaks, save energy and cool the roof while providing protection against future deterioration.
Problem: Cracks caused by Building Movement and Vibration
Solution: Polyprene® Rubberized Roof Cement
When nominal building movement causes problems around expansion breaks, seams and joints - or when gaps develop around vibrating rooftop equipment or sign supports - Polyprene Rubberized Roof Cement is the practical solution. This heavy duty, gray rubber flashing cement has superior resilience to stretch, as much as 600% elongation.
Problem: Badly weathered or damaged surfaces.
Solution: PolyCore Reinforcing Membranes
with strong adhesives and can be used in combination with the above products when extra sectional reinforcement is useful.
